Iron Maiden – Auckland Central

Going to this tomorrow, looking forward to it immensely, although I have to admit I’m more of a genre fan than the band itself.

Iron Maiden – Auckland Central – Eventfinder.

Update:

Been there, done that … and it was bloody great :) . They started off a bit slow but warmed up on the 3rd song and it was all on from there! One of my favourites is Rime of the Ancient Mariner…

This is a somewhat shorter and more entertaining version of the Samuel Taylor Coleridge poem Rime of the Ancient Mariner. If you have not already read that, do it now. Its long but worth it to do at least once. You might also be interested in the Cliff-notes.

I did have one little peeve, and that was the voice quality from the speakers. On the other hand, who cares about that at a Maiden concert :) .

Yesterday I was privileged to watch The Chain perform an open air concert at at the Lakeside Court in the Hamilton Gardens. So far I have to say a real highlight of the Summer festival! Superb skills and a well pitched sound system brought out a great performance, which was appreciated by the strong crowd.

The Chain are a Fleetwood Mac experience. More about them here… http://www.thechain.co.nz Hot pics after the jump…

During the last song audience members flocked to the front, creating their own little mosh pit as the band showed us all how to dance it up. I hope the audience will forgive me posting the following photos, which show the fun :) . DJ couldn’t help himself, he had to get in on the action too!
